    I'm trying to find out where to get a 16 gallon gas tank for a 1975 Maverick. I'm not having any luck; it came out with a 6cyl, but putting a 302 back in it. I can find plenty of 76-77 tanks which are 19 gallon, but none for 75's. Can anyone tell me where to find a 16 gallon tank?

    gas tank

    i got a gas tank might fit its a 15 gallon tank i pulled out of my 75 mercury comet

    Welcome to the board. I think you can use a 19 gal tank if you just get longer strap bolts.

    All the parts dealers told me they couldn't get a tank for a 75 model and the F-30 only fit 76-77. That was the reason I was looking for a 16 gallon.
