Sorry about repost, I remember seeing a discussion on carpet kits-- I just cannot find it. On ebay they have 1 peices kits, has anyone tried to install them? Are they the same as autokrafters ( $50 bucks more) Mine is a 2 peice, where do they sell those? are they better? easier?

I have a one piece kit. I got it with some other parts a guy that sold his project had as leftovers, so I don't know where it came from, but it was not one of the better brands out there.

It installed fine ... had the basic form to it. It also has sat in place through months of the rest of the interior being installed around it, so it settled into a very good final shape over time. I made it a point to install my console first, fit the front kicks, then back sides and rear seat. It went a while before bucket seats went in, but only after that, did I finally trim the sides to their final shape.

I kept the nasty old original carpet here far too long as a guide for how the factory used to do it around the trim plates, etc. but it did help.

I also used a one piece kit in my 73 frm www.Stockinteriors.com. The fit was nice, it lays in well. I believe the carpet I removed was original. If I were to do it agn I wud go w/ 2 pcs kit. The carpet I removed was 2 pcs and I do believe 2 pcs is easier to install, and if u screw-up a cut, u may be able to just buy that pcs.
