We got back today from the Return Day celebration in Sussex County, Delaware and being in their historic police car parade. We were one of 36 historic police cars helping Georgetown residents and guests celebrate the elections as they have done since the 1700s. The Mav was warmly received and got numerous comments and compliments. We are now members of the Historic Police Car Honor Guard and will be attending the '05 Law Enforcement Memorial activities at Police Week in D.C. this May. The Mav will be in the parade honoring all the officers that have fallen in the line of duty nationwide. Here are a couple of pix of us and some of the other historic cars we had the pleasure to be with. I thought you might get a kick out of the one pix of one of our new friends and his daughter.
Thats cool! I guess the picture of the brown New Castle co. plymouth is that going to be your future car?
As nice as that '72 Fury was, it belongs to a real New Castle County officer, Al Wysock, and I doubt that he and his daughter would part with it even if I wanted it. The '68 Fury I have is my next project if all goes well. Hey, John...who was out there on the grass and in the bar drinking right along with the rest of y'all and will be right there again in Ky?? I even tried the karyoke crappy voice and all. I should have gotten arrested for noise pollution.
LOL....thats funny Wes cause Ward and I was talking about that the other day.....and you was one of the honorable mention singers! Well, make sure you have your vocal cords in tune.....cause we have another date with a mic! and yes, you was right there with the rest of us.......having a great time.
