Welcome, to the site, from eastern N.C. Tortuga means tortise, correct? You're not classifying tour Mav. as a tortise, are you? :burnout:

Thanks for the welcome! Tortuga is Spanish for turtle. I've had 2 turtles for 25 years, it's the name of my company and it's my forum handle for the music gear sites. Guess I never thought about it in the sense of speed. I guess you could think of it like calling a big guy "Tiny" or a fat guy "Slim". A car called "Tortuga" will whip your hair back.

I'm just messin' around. Many words sound so much cooler , in the spanish language. I'd much rather be called Tortuga, than turtle.

That's exactly why I went with "Tortuga" for my company. I figured it should be something about turtles but the word "turtle" just sounds lame. So, I typed it into google translate and picked the coolest version. Spanish won out and I've been going with Tortuga ever since.
