Hi everyone, I've been lurking on and off here for a few years now and been thinking about messing around with a Maverick the whole time. I'm currently looking for one yet I still haven't decide exactly what I want. Honestly, I'm a huge Steve McQueen fan and Bullitt is one of my all time favorite movies. I fell in love with his green Fastback Mustang in the movie but in real life never wanted to own one. I honestly think the Maverick "fastback" look is cooler. I would love to eventually buy/build a 70-72 style Grabber and paint it Highland Green to match the Mustang in Bullitt. It would be a mix of my movie nostalgia with my love for the look and feel of a Maverick. Anyway, I will keep you posted on the progress of my search. I'm in the Seattle area so if any of you know of someone who wants to get rid of one around here, I'd love to take a look at it. Also, in my real life I own and run a guitar pedal company called Torutga Effects http://www.tortugaeffects.com so if any of you are musicians and interested in guitar gear, let me know. -Matt
I agree the mustang fastback from bullet is what made me want a mustang so bad, but could never afford one...then found out about mavericks which look so much better and walla...my dream came alive. I am not going for a movie memorabilia like your dream, but would love to see it when your done. On a side note, I own one of your Sasquatch Silicon ..small world.
Thanks, man. I'm glad I'm not the only one here who feels that way about his Mustang. Small world is right! How you digging your Sasquatch Si? Also, what part of North ID are you from? I spend a lot of time in Coeur d'Alene.
Post falls the sasquatch si... fun to use! Annoys the neighbors though so I only play between 11am-2pm. Could play whenever but I like to be considerate. Gotta love apartment living lol. Lived in cda 7 years, and off and on since. I seem to move in 74 mile radius of this area.
Glad to have another member in the Great Northwest. My sons Mav may soon be on the market. Will keep you posted...
