power stering

    i have a 75 comet with 250 and a 72 with 302.what all do i need to change from power steering to manual in my 75 i want to get rid of pump but i dont know how i never took auto tech and no one to show me anything im just self tought and dont want to mess anything up

    Welcome! To change your car over to manual steering you will need to replace the drag link that connects the pitman arm (on the steering box),inner tie rods, and the idler arm. You may want to swap out pulleys and brackets for a cleaner look under the hood. A new alignment will also be in order. Keep in mind the steering effort at low speeds will dramatically increase!

    thanx i got the car with engine out of it i redid the front end becuse guy i bought it from already had the parts i got egine and transmission in.im just trying to get it together the best i can i have no one to help me and dont want to take it to a shop.
