    hey everyone! I finally picked up a 5.0 HO for the mav. looking for some help to ID. where should I look or can someone just tell by looking at these pics:

    yeah, i think its late 80's paid $220 for it so i think im good :)

    Nope, the date code on the 85-up blocks is on one of the bottom rear flats on the very rear of the block. The casting numbers are just forward of that area too.
