    I think AK sent me the wrong door bumpers. They looked more like hood-to-fender bumpers without the slit in the middle. The top hole to mount the bumper in the door is too big and the bottom hole is too small. According to their catalog...the top door bumper is for a 70-72 but this looks the same as a '74. The catalog also says fits all 70-77 but both 76 doors I have doesn't have any holes for any bumper to fit into.

    Right now the doors will take the first trip down for repairs, door handle & lock shaves. Dale will seal, prime and block sand them and they'll be ready for paint. I'll bring them back home and get them out of his way. They'll make the trip back down again later with the body shell.

    I was thinking about having him paint the inside of the doors orange so that will be finished but I'm a bit afraid of having them back home for any length of time and possibly chipping the paint.

    How will the door open without handles? Actuator solenoids?

    Actuator solenoids and door poppers built into the hinge side - stuff I bought from Auto-Loc quite a while ago :)

    I had the same issue with AK. They dont list the larger ones for the later cars that go up top.They send you 4 of the small bumpers.I ended up using my tore up old ones.
