    I have a 75 comet with a 302. It is a work in progress
I found a 1975 Comet 2-dr 6-cylinder car that has 80,000 miles on it. The body is in great shape with no rust and is a reliable daily driver. The guy is wanting 1200 for it, is this a good price?

Did they take the bumpers off to get better gas mileage?

I am going to go look at it later today. If it's in good shape, it will be my daily driver.

The bumpers are missing. I suspect due to rust. Get under that car and have a look. If you see ANY rust holes, especially in the frame....run away.

I will be sure to do that, I am going to look at the car tomorrow. He said that it has a clean title and the bumpers will come with the car. I'm definitely going to look for rust, it looks too good to be true.

I looked at the link lol.. It looks good to go to me. Just need to check for rust. Hope your limber enough to poke your head way under the dash and look up.. Look for rusty cowel. Some pour water into the cowel to see if it leaks into the car...

That's an excellent idea, I am just glad that it didn't come with a vinyl roof. My 75 had one of those and the roof is about gone.

Wow. I too (my son actually) have a 75 Comet with a vinyl roof that's almost gone.
Take your time looking the car over.. The price is decent but you don't want to end up with a car that shoulda been bought/sold for it's parts.
