So the maverick started making a clunking noise in the rear worse when it would bounce a little and worse when going into turns. Ride quality has been unchanged. What's your guess as to the cause. I told Bryant that I think it was my sway bar binding and he thought it was my shock mount. I already know the answer.... :burnout:

With my car, it was the weak leafsprings allowing the rearend to come up and touch the exhaust..

So Bryant looks back there when the car is up in the air and says, this might be the source of clunking.....

Gees thats alot of fatigue Mo. Is the shock travel too short? Good idea to upgrade that area with what you do with the car anyhow. Get welding Bryant.

the adjustable shocks are usually adjusted by the driver and the driver seems to like a very firm adjustment. i believe that is what caused the damage. we all know this is a notoriously weak area of these cars.
im letting the offending driver have a go at the welding. then we will see what needs to be done.
