Hi. I know there was a significant talk last year about these cages. Did a search in drag racing and a general search. No luck.
Looking for different suppliers and user comments on fit and finish by these supplers. Thks Ron(y)

What are you looking for Ron? A full cage, or just a roll bar?

Rite now my car is not running, but within the next 2 weeks it will be. Sources tell me my new motor, tranny, suspension will push it to 11:49 or faster once its all tuned in and working good.Hence the need for a 6 or 8 point cage. Was not lookin forward to destroying my interior, particularly the rear part.

    My motor is a 347, 10.5 compression,249/254 duration,600 lift,108 CL, (Bullett custom cam). All forged internals, built C4/4800 convertor.462 spooled rear with 28/9 slicks.Cal tracs,750 HP carb(holley). MSD electronics.
    I new about S,W race cars,thks Lonnie.also BD racing.
Thks to all who replied to this post.

All jokes aside, if it is a "stor bought" cage, S&W would probably be your best bet. I've installed a few of these and they were much better than the other companies.

The mustang guys are lucky, they have some excellent choices from companies like Racecraft Inc. and Wolfe Racecraft. There "hold & weld" cages are top notch. Us maverick/comet guys don't have that luxury though.

If you want the best fitting, most user friendly cage, you can't beat a custom cage. If you just want something to get you legal at the track and get the job done, the S&W cage is the way to go.

x2. I bought one their cage "kits" (for a Fox Mustang). The hoop was tall enough for a school bus and the rest was just 6 or 8 foot lengths of sawn tubing.

Doesn,t look like it this year. Spent too much replacing all the drivetrain in the mav. If I win a wheel barrel full of green backs, maybe I can attend the gathering and then head to Stevens joint for a cage. hint, hint:rofl2:
