Welp after about 2 years of talking about buying this Mav I FINALLY went down and got it. It's a 76... V8, Disc Brakes, sport mirrors, and the only reason I really bought the car..Auto on The Floor!! Cant wait to get the shifter in My Mav...
Seeing the Texaco sign, I was going to ask if you have been watching too many episodes of "American Pickers"? .... cool grab. I gotta' ask ... why is this a parts car? Looks pretty solid from what the pics show. Oh yeah, when you get the shifter out, be sure to get the matching internal control rod out of the trans. They are different between column and floor shift.
that car is way to nice to part out based on the pictures.... in my opinion unless the whole underbody is not there....
He did say on Face Book that it's NFP (old scrapper around used that to refer to cars with no freaking papers). It's not hard in Washington to get the title but it is lengthy, takes 3 years. Floor shifter also means bucket seats!
Yep I love Texaco junk The one laying on the trailer is my new favorite. Its got bullets still stuck IN it haha! The interior is torn out and the car doesn't have a title. And actually more importantly, I just want the shifting setup out of it. therefor it's a parts car! Its got a little rust here and there but compared to the cars some guys on the east coast restore, this thing is solid! only thing is, out here in WA our cars dont really rust much so its not a rarity to find one in decent shape Exactly! and unfortunately somebody decided to 'upgrade' with new bucket seats at some point :16suspect
