Motor height problem on 5 speed swap need help!

    im doing a 5 speed swap on my maverick just put the t-5 in and my motor is tilted back and my tranny is bottomed out on my tans tunnel cant get the motor level, the motor mount are from crites restoration anyone else have this problem? or can guide me in the right direction? im guessing mabye different mounts but not sure

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Do you have the engine stands mounted on the towers properly??? Are they Maverick stands...Mustang stands will make the engine sit too high...A pic or three would help of the mounts in the car...

    yeah there on the stands fine i have no clue what the problem is i got them off crites restoration there made for a maverick with a 302 this car is becoming a nightmare lol

    im thinking i have to do the same is your t-5 sitting out of your trans tunnel? i have a pro 5.0 shifter and i trimmed the trans tunnel and have alot of it sticking through the tunnel

    I cut the floor brace out of mine,it's better but is still tilted back a bit.Been that way for 5 years now without any troubles.

    thanks guys i really appreciate it, its gonna be a long night in the garage im probably gonna do it tonight when i get home from work thanks for all the help and blown76 mav you made your own lid? would you beable to send me a pic of it so i have an idea what mine is going to look like? if not its cool i dont want to be a pain
