Hey everyone, I installed Impala tail lights on my 74 today. I have ordered Caprice lenses, I think I might go sequential. Not. Sure how I feel about the black bezels. I might buy a new chrome set. Thanks to Ray for the lights and Jamie for the tech article on how to install them.

Looks a lot like the Bobcat lights. But different.

Just like your car looks a lot like a Maverick. But different. (y)

so you can buy the bezels and the lenses? So all one would need is the housing? Will all lenses be red?

Looks great. I was wondering how the bezels would look blacked out. I like'em. :thumbs2:

I got my Impala lights out of a junk yard in New Mexio via Ebay for 37.00 because they looked so bad with their scuffed argent paint and dirt all over them. There was even a snail shell in one of them left over from a former tenent. I thought they were only going to be good enough for a semi-gloss black paint job. I took rubbing compound to the stock paint and wound up with 2 almost perfect super shiny chrome frames once the paint came off. After ordering a pair of Caprice re-pop lenses and gaskets, I'm happy with the results :yup:

Found new bezels on ebay for 179 and Caprice lenses for about 50, So yes, all you need is the bulb housing. I also lined the inside of the housing with foil tape to brighten up the lights. Still need the sequencer from webelictricproducts.com for 70.

They look great. How did you seal them to the rear panel to keep water out of the trunk?
