I have the first set you listed. I like them. They look nice and stay clean enough for me. I do however have issues with oil leaking on the pass side. Not sure if it is the valve cover or not though. I need to try a different set of gaskets.

From what I can tell, Fel-Pro does not make a Printoseal Valve cover gasket. Which gasket would you be referring to. Here are the 2 that have steal core:

I use regular old fashion cork gaskets on my fabricated valve covers and have no leak problem

    MaverickMan,

The reason the fab'd covers will not fit the master cylinder I had in before is because of the 351w and the old stock drum brake master cylinder. There is clearance but if you have studs you can't pull the valve cover off even with the FMS type without taking the studs out...........a pain when you are setting valves on a regular basis...........and the fab'd ones just won't go on the drivers side without mod's. I now have an Aerospace Components master in the car and we will see what the fit is like when I get the motor back in from being on the dyno.
Yes, aluminum is not the easiest to keep scratch free, but I have found that Zepher Pro-40 really works extremely well.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
well i bought the second ones... i guess we will see what they look like. my next quest is an electric water pump now only if i can find one with a bypass. :(

true true a lot has to do with the metal! polish is nice but we all know something like a car that wins a riddler award we all know it isn't driven or ever seen the road. trailer queen.

yeah intakes are horrible to keep clean power coat on that is the way to go.

sorry not cork for me. that stuff is harder then heck to get off when they are on for awhile and really you can't reuse them.

doh my bad i was thinking intake gaskets those are printoseal. the ones i was refering to were the second ones. those are bad ass. cost a lot but will save you tons of grief in the long run.

nah no thanks... IMO everyone already knows its a maverick no need to drive it into their head. lol!

ah that make sense especially with studs i could also see with studs you would have to remove the support stock tower brace to get them on and off. to be honest i think i had to to that with the ones i have now. funny thing i can't remember they have been on for almost like 10+ years now lol

    Maverick Man,

I have the aluminum tower braces that are very easy to swing out of the way....................will wait to see when I get the motor in if changing to the Lamb master made a difference.

those are the ones that mo has sealing problems with. i think on first install every thing was good but they leaked after the valve covers were removed then reistalled.
