Just when i get out they pull me back in........( i sold 2 of my cars and gave one to my lil brother which left me with two cars one being a comet ) this guy i know told me about this guy that has a car like mine i went to see it and there it was... it cranks up and run but the floor pans are rusted, rust on the hood and has bondo on it, cowl leaks, and when u put it in park its jumps out of gear to reverse when u not holding the lever but it shifts out smoothly and also no rust on the outside of the body at all not even on the hood and i never seen one that wasnt rusted on the hood.... if it was u would give him 250.00 for it???????
If it were scrapped, in metal alone, it would probably be worth $250. As far as those floors go, that doesn't look like an impossible fix. We have seen worse cars brought back to life. It bears a closer look, but I would bet guys from the Rust Belt wish they could find one this good. Going by the back bumper, it is a 73. I'd say, get it, see if anyone wants the whole car. If it really is too rusty, nasty cowls, etc., it may make more sense to part it out, and then scrap the shell. Wonder if they have the rest of the interior there ... looks like it was a bench seat car. Buckets would have been a bonus.
yes all the interior is there seats even looks good, he took them out he said years ago to repair the rust...i went and bought it for 200.00 i drove it around the block (using a brick as my seat lol) drives like a dream..i might just grit my teeth and try to repair the rust..i have seen worst as far as the floor pans
