drive shaft removal

when you take out a drive shaft is it normal for transmission fluid to leak out? I hope I havnt messed anything up

 

Yes it's normal. Next time you can try to plug it up.

I tried looking for a C4 plastic plug but I couldn't find anyone who makes them, for all the GM trannies they do.

Usually an extra yoke works best as a plug.

 

thanx for the info, when i pulled it out i had to scramble from under the car to get my drip pan lol

 

I tie wrap a zip lock bag over it...
if it's going to be out for a while, I borrow Harolds plastic plug. it came in a bag of 6-7 different plugs...

 

ok thanks, think I gotta thick plastic bag laying around some where, Im debating on whether or not im gonna get a aluminum drive shaft once I sell these cobras.
