So I'm pretty sure I blew it. Oil is clean but exhaust is sweet and watery on ground. Plus I'm losing coolant.

So, what is the best gasket, and is now the time to upgrade the heads? I think I can find some built GT40 heads for about $500, but is that and the gasket all I need to buy?

You will need a new intake gasket, some high-temp RTV.

Be sure the springs on the heads match your cam specs.

Loc-tite? if you are into that.

Any name brand gaskets will work for you.

You will really like the way those heads wake up that engine, if you are upgrading from stock heads. You will also have room to grow on your intake and cam, if you ever decide to upgrade those.

same thing. Just get a good name brand. I tend to use Fel-Pro all the way around, but that is just personal preference.

    FYI--post 12,000!!! :bananaman
