8.8 Ford rear end with disc brakes need help fast plz

the guy is selling a 8.8 rear end out of a Linclon. 3:08 gear non-posi
can i use it in my maverick?
for 50$

 

Its too wide

 

much will it cost to shorten a rear end in your opinion is it worth it
to take it to a shop to do that?

 

By the time you buy axles, gears, tracloc and have it shortened its going to add up that why he still has it, i know hes tryed to sell it for a year.

4.5 inch bolt pattern or 5 inch? the old continentals 77-79 had a odd 5'' bolt pattern.Find out what lincolin it came out of for sure.

 

it's a 4.5 pattern it is out of a "newer" lincoln
