Very nice stance, don't mess with it

... needs more tire front and rear ... :evilsmile or course, they all need as much tire as physically can be stuffed under there ...:burnout:

Time to guess. How much did I cut off? 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or 1 whole coil.

I was going to ask earlier. I bet you decided you didn't want to do it twice and took a chance on 1 full coil.

I went with a 3/4 cutoff. But before I cut I got the springs outta the 70 Mav at the Junkyard. I cut them 1/2 coil. I stuck in the 3/4 coil off, first. Liked the look. So if it settles to much, I got another set of springs.:thumbs2:

Speaking of the Maverick @ the junkyard. It has straight bumpers. Hey wait a minute, I'm stealing my own thread. Anyways, I don't know what they would cost, but if anybody is after a set, let me know and I'll ask the guys @ the junkyard.

OK, now I am getting mad. Since I started this project I have never! ever! seen a Maverick or Comet in a junk yard in any shape.

    Joshua,

A lot of guys with later cars do the bumper swap. If you could get the whole car cheap enough, you might want to consider parting it out. You could probably turn some $$$ for stuff for your car. Look on eBay for some values.

I've thought about asking for the whole car. The doors are shot. Windshield to. Driver glass gone. Passenger glass there, dont know what shape its in, regulators toast. Hood is clean, I mean CLEAN. Trunk lid is straight. Back glass perfect. Back bench is in nice shape. Previous owner installed a auto tranny with a Hurst aftermarket floor mounted shifter. Looks butt ugly. Under dash tray, still good other then where the radio was. I wonder what they would charge me for it.

I know this is a really old thread but I'm about to cut the springs on mine and wanted to go the full 1½ coils but might just cut 1 coil first then see how it sits. I'm running 215x40x17s in the front. Its got the v8 with AC springs cuz that's how this car came from the factory. No motor or front end on yet but its all new and wanted to cut and paint the springs now.

Sometimes. It just depends on the spring rate.
