Hey guys. how has everyone been?! Soooo...I am just trying to get the blue stallion so it moves from point a to point b a little better as I start to work on her this spring and I am having an issue. it always seemed to have some type of carb issue, and the guy that I bought it from had a brand new carb in the trunk so I thought I'd throw it on today...easy enough, put it on, turned the key and it starts right up. great! well, not so much. revs up and idles great, but put it in gear and it dies under load..ideas?

oh, and its from California so theres lots of **** on there I have never seen ;)

    thanks.

    Mike.

    ****update****

...i went back out after coming in the house for an hour and it started right up, put it in gear and away I went, so the engine heat is part of the issue, running cold is no problem....

Have you adjusted the mixture screws? Set the curb idle? is the choke adjusted and working properly? No vacuum leaks???
