How far does it need to drop down from the frame for hooker 6901's? it's just because i'm cheap and have a little time on my hands as i'm looking for a job, so if i have the materials and time. may as well save 20 bucks.
    thanks.

You might be better off anyhow with fabricating your own drop down bracket. I don't know about Hooker, but when I bought my Hedman headers I bought their bracket for about $20 and it didn't work anyway. I ended up making one also. Sorry I can't get a measurement for you today on how far i dropped mine because my Maverick is at another location. It may vary slightly with different brand of headers anyhow. Good luck.

With so many differences I personaly would get under there and measure it.

Mine is 3 1/8" from the frame rail to the center of the hole for the ram bushing. If you're making one, brace it well with gussets and use all of the bolt holes the original bracket does, otherwise the ram is strong enough to break it right off of the frame.
