What is the closest color (in your opinion) for the the black dashboard, the metal portion on. It doesn't look like a satin, not really sure????? I want to paint the 76 dash (tan w/ black dash pad) instead of removing the entire dash from the 73. Thanks, Jim P.
The black dash is not black .. it's a Dark Charcoal Metallic ... Go to the autoparts store and look at the Auto Match paints .. get the darkest Charcoal Metallic you can get and use that .. Ford, GM, Chrysler .. doesn't matter. I used to have a Dark Charcoal Metallic 84 Mustang .. I had bought a can of touch-up paint for it .. and ended up using that paint for my Maverick Dash ...
