You could probably get your money back if it has just a few good parts. Then again, try to buy the bumpers, mounts, deflector, etc as a package and see what you will pay. You can get $200 at the crushers. If you need the bumpers, go for it. They don't make them anymore... one Comet lovers opinion!

In my opinion, if you have the room for the car you should buy it and part it out. You will probably be suprised at how much you will get out of the parts.

Well lets see the things of value besides the bumpers and brackets

front valance (70 only) rear valance, boomerangs, door panels, door pads and bases, speedo cluster (redline)kick panels, seatbelts (70-71 only) rear seat surrounds (70-71 only) headlight bezels, nose chrome, gas tank (70 only) front brake hoses and brackets (70 only) window trim, glass, tail lights, marker lights and not to mention it actually might be a 69 1/2 as most people dont know it and then it might have a different steering wheel and ignition on the package tray. These are some of the things I look at when I purchase a parts car

It doesnt take too many decent parts to make a car more valuable then you think, especially when it has parts that you want

$500 is pretty much the going rate for a parts car anymore. They will just about bring that running them across the scale...and then nobody gets any parts. All we get are more toasters. :D

If it has the ignition switch in the package tray(aka dash), it along with the steering column would make a great conversion kit. Supply the wiring from the switch to the column and walla. Everything else would be fairly easy to addapt. jmo.:)

Not to hijack this thread but you guys have me wondering now, I also can buy another Maverick parts car, it is a 1969 1/2, switch is on package tray, it has a red interior, seats are toast, great bumper on the front and Grabber spoiler on the rear, needs a gas tank to run, the rest is rusted from what I can see, I could get it for $600.00 but I just don't need all of it, just the beautiful front bumper, Ya got me thinkin'.
