1970 Front Valance Difference

I have seen mention here that the front valance on the 70 cars is a bit different than the 71-72s. Did a search, but didn't find any detail.

Who knows what it is?

Hmmm....now I have to go out into the garage and see what is on mine.

I have a 69.5 valance here ... made me look at it a lot closer. Didn't see this at first when compared to the one on my 72 Comet.

 

i have a bent up dented and scrached 96.5 on mine

 

The way old style tow trucks were made, it is amazing any valances survived. If your car was towed back in the day, the valances got crushed.

 

Wow never knew this, got my valence from a 1970 (had the key cylinder on the dash so im guessing 69.5). But never knew they were like that, gonna look at mine now to see if it looks like that

 

Demmit, Man where did you get a 96.5 maverick anything? I want some of those, J/K

 

I checked and I have a 71-72 on mine now but I still have the 70 valance but it's drilled for my spoiler.
