You fix it to your steering wheel, you can then grasp it with one hand and turn the steeering wheel. It's knob spins freely. Invalides with one hand use it a lot. Not recommended for cars with manual steering. It may be Illegal in some state to accually use.
Tim- Half of the cars that I have seen from Virginia had that and a spotlight in the drivers side front pillar. I am surprised you didn't spot that one!!! I am laughing and yes I am joking! You missed a great show in Henderson on Sat. There were reportedly over 600 cars this year. I got there at 9:30 and I was #211. It is Federal Insurance-you know what I am referring to. Seth
Invented no doubt by a New York City cab driver so they could take a corner and flip you off at the same time
I have only seen them on 50's cars and trucks and tractors. And have always known them to be suicide knobs. That name may be why I won't ever have one. Seth
Oh I've seen em on Farm tractors, dump trucks and steering wheels 30" in Dia. Just couldnt tell from the description that was what it was. kinda like green Beans or as we callem in the South "Snaps"
