70 tunnel

    not sure if this is where this goes, so feel free to move the thread if not...

    here is a pic of my 70 with the shifter cut in by the PO. It looks alwful far on the side to me. Is this normal for a 70?

    That's not that bad looking. You will always have the shifter hole somewhat on the side of a 69.5/70 tunnel as we really don't have much of a top on our early tunnels. The hole I made for my V-Gate, in the side of my early tunnel, was crazy big to begin with and then I have to move the Cleveland forward so the front of the hole needed to get even larger.     I like the word "tunnel" highlighted in red as I was looking for my thread by searching the work tunnel LOL!

    I changed to a floor shifter when my 3-on-the-tree column linkage went out. That's, about, exactly where my new shifter ended up.
