My '73 Maverick is not pictured. It was not there. :( It picked today to start running hot. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow after church. :smash:

It was still great seeing Earl, Mav and his family, Chris and Effie. Seems like I'm leaving somebody out. Oh, well. they must've not been important or I would've remembered them.

    Hmmmmmm.....

    Oh, yeah!!!!!!

    ....and Frank was there. :bananaman

Yep ! we all had a great time . It was good to see everyone and talk Mavericks a little. Matt, Thanks for the complement,It always amazes me how nice my car APPEARS to be in pictures, Those who have seen it know that it definatly has more than its fair share of flaws!:p
I have an announcement to make . I checked my Gas Milage on the 102 mile round trip to and from the show and believe it or not my car got:

    14.1 mpg !:bananaman :bananaman :bananaman

Not bad for 4.11 gears with a 3,800 stall converter and two 450`s on a tunnel ram,and a .542 lift cam! I`ve always thought that the car did pretty well on gas but I was a little surprised by this!

Its been a Great Day !

M.A.V., Frank added some gas to your tank while you weren't looking. [IMG]

Just kiddin'. In college we did add gas to a guy's car for two weeks and he kept bragging and bragging about his mileage. Then we took gas out for two weeks. We turned him looney tunes.

Throw a Lentech AOD behind that ride and you'll get the mileage of about 3.10 gear. The best of both worlds. [IMG]

Thanks for spending time with me on your roll cage setup.[IMG]

Rick , I should have made a post here about the cruise in ...sorry about that.
I made a post a few months ago about my hood,I decided after MUCH thinking it over to just go with satin black due to everyone I spoke with about it agreed that there was NO way I could have perfectly matched the 32 year old factory paint job.

Vey nice, most Mavricks I've seen in one place for a long time. Up here I Calgary I've only seen a couple of other Mavericks and Comets. Never together and usually in very poor condition. Haven't seen another Grabber for a long time.

Rick; sorry I didn't get a post in about the show. I was mostly concentrating on the show at the Ford Plant, since I work there, and totally forgot. I guess that is the consequence of getting old. I will do better next time. BTW, there is a cruise in in Griffing on Sat. This show is their last, and they usually have 150-200 cars. It is at Willis Tire Co. on hwy 19/41 in Griffin. If you need, I can get you directions. Just letting you know. I will post it to everyone later tonight. Have a good one,
