I sent a pair of fairly heavy Cragars via UPS a few years ago from PA to MI, cost me about $20 then. Sent them from work and we get a little bit of a discount because of the large volume we ship everyday.

I sent a pair of Torque Thrust's(no tires) in the mail about 2 1/2 years ago. Didn't cost as much as I thought it would. Just make sure to wrap the whole outside of the box in tape really well, so it doesn't bust open.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I would try to sell them locally first, UPS is expensive if you don't have an account with them.

USPS would be cheaper to dismount the tires and ship them separately.
But still I see about $160-200 in just shipping for (4) wheel/tires.

Check out your local tire shop, they'll probably give you the boxes for free.

I was in a UPS store a while back and a girl in there wanted to ship some 24" ghetto wheels out west somewhere. They gave her a quote on shipping in a box for each wheel, and a quote on just the bare wheel with a sticker attached. Much cheaper to ship them bare, but they wouldn't have any protection against nicks and scratches. I think mounted with tires the shipping would be very high, if they would ship them at all. They base the costs on weight and size.

They were in the original boxes. Then I double boxed and taped them really well. They got there with no problems and I got my positive feedback. It was an ebay sale.(y)
