I usually don't make out this well on Ebay. Just like used Bobcat bezels that I have bought in the past - always so pitted and hammered I just figured "clean them up and paint them black" This set I got out of New Mexico from a seller who owns a junkyard. They looked a whole lot better, in his photos, than the ones I already had plus they only had a 20.00 price tag on them so I bought them. Total of 38.00 to my door. They were filthy, one bezel actually had a snail living in it at one time and left his shell behind LOL!, both lenses were faded and cracked, both bezels had the argent accent paint around the outside edges all faded scratched and scuffed but one thing I did notice right off was - no pits anywhere! I got some 000 steel wool and began to clean them. Well, the paint came right off and the chrome shined like brand new. Now they really look close to NOS. Not bad for a real live set of 45 year old survivors. I added a set of new repop Caprice lenses and WOW
The best part about these 20 dollar lights is that the same seller had another set on Ebay that he was selling in "like new" condition with a 140.00 price tag and it looks like these came out nicer than the good set
We don't need no stinkin' reverse lights! Looks great! I kinda wish I had went that route instead of the Bobcats. Might do it yet....
I found the original photo of my tail lights from the ebay auction - really crappy looking tail light bezels with broken up Impala lenses before clean up and new Caprice lenses What junk
