Last summer I think I mentioned that I was contacted for a photo shoot. Automobile magazine was doing an article about people that collect cars from the 1970's. I was contacted and the photo shoot involved my 1974 Maverick, my 1976 Ford LTD Station Wagon.....and a former used car lot as the back drop. Here is the letter I received today:

This is to let you know my story titled "That 70s Road Show" is in print in the November issue of Automobile Magazine.

I'm having two copies sent to you. If you'd like more, call the magazine's receptionist, and I think she'll send a few.

You might find the magazine on the newsstand right now. It has a BMW M5 on the cover.

Hope you enjoy the story. Thanks for patiently posing for the photos; I think they came out well.

    Best,
    Ronald

I have some copies of Automobile magazine from June 1992. They ran a several page article on the value of Mavericks. Needless to say they totally trashed the Maverick and basically said it was worthless .... maybe they are eating crow now .. I can scan the article if anyone is interested ...

I am not sure how the article will turn out. Maybve they will be making fun of me and the others. 8)

Seems to be a very upscale magazine...I was really surprised they wanted ME!! :D

Yeah, now I remember that mag for sure. I used to have a subscription to it. They cater to the Pebble Beach crowd I think. Who knows, maybe they will show something positive on the cars this time.

What a hack job on our cars, I hope they don't do the same thing to Craig...if they do...they should hear from all of us.
