The mav is gone but i'm still here!
It makes it look like a Chevelle. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I like them a lot.

I don't know, but the guy standing behind my car would have something to say, since he did the body & paint :)
Overall, it looks neat, Ford could have done so much more than they did. Nice job on the Photoshop, you even did the other side of the car.

It would have windnoises and waterleaks.

I suppose it could be done if somebody wanted to do all the work.

I like the look. Also, I like the look of the chopped roof and wagon roof as seen in other thread.

    Too cool.

I not so sure it could be. The curved glass is the problem. Remember that's the stopping point when people want to do a Maverick convertible.

I like it. If I were about 20 years younger I would try it. I don't think it would be that hard.

Oh....it could be done......just take some work. Probably LOTS of work. It would require installing window regulators for the rear windows. The glass for the rear windows could be cut out of front door glass. It was also require some modification to the roof line in order to lower it to meet and seal against the door glass once you remove the door frame. Not for the timid.

I was thinking the same thing. But I think a subtle chop would have a positive impact on a Maverick. I always thought the windows were a tad tall. I actually did the same rendering of Daves car with a small chop. I would have to work on it a bit more before presenting it. By the way, I did that on Microsoft Paint. If it was only as easy to do the mods on a real car.

Here's what I'd imagine a coupe with a couple of inch chop would look like:
