I tried searching, but could not find what I was looking for. I thought this had been asked before, so maybe someone can point out the thread. Anyway, what is the year break on the A/C vacuum selector valves? I am finding 70-72 and 70-73. Which is the correct break? What are the differences? Thanks everyone,
Good question. I know that the dash for 70-72 is different from a 73 so I am thinking that the AC stuff is different. BUT, just because the duct isn't the same doesn't necessarely mean that the AC boxes are different.. Which parts are you questioning?
These guys: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56443bcfdb and http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/70-7...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b5757290 The description says the break is 01/72. Just trying to figure out if that is correct, and what the difference is.
70 is the metal one, and if you use it, you have to switch the hoses around. Mavaholic had a good post about it years ago...(I think it was him)
Both those in the link are the same part number. Both 1970 Part numbers. Here's the link, the pictures are missing: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=37045&highlight=DODZ-19B888-A
Gene, yeah those are the same part numbers, one is just posted with the wrong year in the title. Thanks Dave! I knew there was a thread floating around.
Glad I found this thread! I'm trying to nurse my a/c system back from defrost only mode myself. I didn't know about that problem with the valve. Does anyone still have the omitted pictures from the old thread?
