windshield install questions

    i have a 1976 maverick 2 door what year windshieds will fit im trying to but in a 74 one.And im have a hard time will the 74 fit?thanks

    Do to have the windshield stands/spacer between the gasket and cowl?

    Old windshields are a tougher install than the new stuff. A lot more technique is needed. If you can find an old timer that did a lot of glass install that may be your best bet.

    There was a really good article online that I read. I may have it saved in favorites.... going to look now....

    I don't need them...you need them so you won't have a hard time making the glass fit.

    I've seen and helped install many windshields in later model vehicles, since my brother was a paint and body man for 20+ years. They are so much more simple than the earlier vehicles. I guess if you use the the correct techniques in the older vehicles, it could be almost as easy.
