While I wait on my battery to charge...
Installed the lokar throttle and kickown cables on my 302/C4, but the gas pedal feels really tight. It works and the range is right. Just kinda tough to push down. Think it might be the long braided section from the firewall to the bracket on the throttle cable. There's alot more than I need.. Anyone run into a similar problem?

You should only have what you need. How about the return spring? It's not too much is it? Did you try pressing the pedal without it?

no, the return springs are fine. feels good moving it at the carb with my hand, just not at the pedal. I have alot of extra braided section under the hood. Have it in a loop now. Got their universal throttle cable, that could be the problem? Could probably cut it down and be fine if it is...

They are designed to be shortened to the proper length. I have a factory six cylinder cable on mine and it is looped but works fine.

You should shorten it. Pay attention to what your doing so you don't cut the cable too short..
