Apparently you're not supposed to use certain intake gaskets with edelbrock aluminum intakes. More specifically the gaskets that I have haha.
    These are my two options:

    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-5831/

They are the only ones advanced has so I can get them quick. Tried calling summit's tech people but no one answered.
Anybody used them or know what can and can't be used with an aluminum intake? :tiphat:

Ive always used the stock Fel-Pro gaskets that came in my engine kits or bought individually if needed for any 302/5.0 engine. Never had a problem.

yea, I have the Fel-pro 90103-1 permatorque gaskets for it, but my intake instructions specifically say not to use the permatorque because they are too hard. Figured I'd check before I had 2 sets I couldn't use haha. Thanks for the input!

I've always used Felpro's too. Never a problem with aluminum intakes. You do want to make sure the port dimensions match as closely as you can your head port. Some of these gaskets are intended for larger port heads and they'll stick out above the intake too far and you'll get a vacuum leak, or not enough of the top of the gasket crushed by the intake and first time you over rev it in gear and let off, it'll suck the gasket top down into the port, thereby causing a leak.

I used the Felpro 1262 gaskets on my 331's 3x2. Heads are Canfields
