Hello all; I wa reading our local newspaper used car section and there is a 1977 maverick,4door,automatic,6 cylinder garage kept, 10,300 miles . I talked to the guy and he said it's in mint shape.....BUT...$8500 . If anyone is intrested let me know. Thank's Mike oksav@aol.com
It would be cool since it is a local car if you could get some pictures and post them . Just a suggestion. A 10k mileage original has got to be amazing to ask that kind of $ for. Maybe a museum piece? They are sure proud of it @ $8500.
Hey Craig, I stopped by a very small car dealer yesterday who as a 71 2 door sitting under a tree. The car is in BAD shape (UGLY) but only has 18,000 miles on it. He told me that he would need 1,500 for the car, it has never been inside and has seen all it's life in the weather but the drive train is like new. I said thanks but NO THANKS! Now I know our cars are worth some money now but PLEASE think before you buy, or you could spend alot more then they are worth. As always just my .02 Terry Gates AKA Bossmav
Just ask me, Dennis Martin (Mavaholic), Doug Bauer (DAB), David Cooper (Coop)...and many others.....If you are patient....the really nice cars FIND YOU!!!
Bah, My mav has less original miles than that. Mine even has a sexy paintjob on it ^_^. If he gets 8500 for that mine will be up for sell the next day. That guy is dreaming.
But dude, think of all the hot chicks you'll be able to pick-up in that $8500 4-door Maverick! I say go for it...
I still say, if it is in MINT shape, like the ad claims,,, it has got to be worth some pretty good bucks. Sounds like about 3 grand too high, but without seeing the car, who knows. Maybe this is one of those cars that gets bought for half the asking price. When I sell a car, I usually just put my price and that is that. Some people put prices to keep the idiots away. Maybe this is the case, maybe it could be bought much less. If I was near it I would most certainly check it out. Dan
'77 Maverick Well theres lots of ways of looking at this. This Maverick is about $10,000 less then a new Focus 4 door. If it is mint with low miles Im sure it would last a long time. As the new Focus get older, it will lose money. Id bet the Maverick would at least retain its value. Nothing aganist the Focus, I build them for a living!
