It would be cool since it is a local car if you could get some pictures and post them:cool: . Just a suggestion.

A 10k mileage original has got to be amazing to ask that kind of $ for. Maybe a museum piece? They are sure proud of it @ $8500.:)

I think the guy is dreaming that a 4-door Maverick is worth that kind of dough.

Hey Craig, I stopped by a very small car dealer yesterday who as a 71 2 door sitting under a tree.

The car is in BAD shape (UGLY) but only has 18,000 miles on it.
He told me that he would need 1,500 for the car, it has never been inside and has seen all it's life in the weather but the drive train is like new.

I said thanks but NO THANKS!

Now I know our cars are worth some money now but PLEASE think before you buy, or you could spend alot more then they are worth.

    As always just my .02

I still say, if it is in MINT shape, like the ad claims,,, it has got to be worth some pretty good bucks. Sounds like about 3 grand too high, but without seeing the car, who knows. Maybe this is one of those cars that gets bought for half the asking price. When I sell a car, I usually just put my price and that is that. Some people put prices to keep the idiots away. Maybe this is the case, maybe it could be bought much less. If I was near it I would most certainly check it out.

Well theres lots of ways of looking at this. This Maverick is about $10,000 less then a new Focus 4 door. If it is mint with low miles Im sure it would last a long time. As the new Focus get older, it will lose money. Id bet the Maverick would at least retain its value. Nothing aganist the Focus, I build them for a living!:D
