Bought a 75 4 dr a few months back. Took out the original v8 and am getting ready to put my 70 302 in....which will be the 3rd maverick i've had it in :thumbs2:

Cleaned the engine bay and in prepping everything i've noticed that there is a lot more electrical that was running to the original 75 than what my 70 has. Has anyone taken an early motor and put it in something a little bit newer and what is the best way to deal with this?

Also took off the steering....going to put in roller perches, do the 1 inch shelby drop, and put in progressive rate springs to lower it another inch in the front! Excited to get this bad boy rolling

Have to edit my previous comment, now I'm not sure what springs I'm using. the progressive rate springs doesn't give me the 1" drop that I want......so I'm searching still.

Don: I didn't know I would need to swap out distributor's but it makes sense. That wiring harness to the distributor was what I was specifically referring to. There are 3 connectors that are at the firewall and then run to everything up front, i.e. distributor, solenoid, sensors, etc. Thanks for the info. If you anything else pops into your mind about this, please feel free to share :tiphat:
