The mav is gone but i'm still here!
But to weld them in your going to have to remove some(not a lot) of the paint. Unless they have weld trough powdercoating now.

I talked to Joe in length about these last night and from the pics they sent me I think they are great! I'm suppose to get some to inspect and I'll report back on this thread to let you guys know what I think.
    Thanks Harlequin...saved me a little time. (y)

Oh, I thought the same thing at first on the powder coat but after thinking about it I certainly don't see where it would hurt. You'll have to grind some coating off to weld but would still have a lot of coating not damaged. You will certainly have to paint over your welded areas. I don't think there's going to be a lot of price difference so it's not a big deal.
Thanks to all involved in getting these made. :Handshake

Of course these come out after I do mine from scratch:rolleyes: Oh well, they look nice. To anybody that needs to do extensive torque box repair and doesn't own a plasma cutter and sheet metal brake I highly recommend these.

No problem. I am and he's a great guy, I'm flattered. Joe is restoring my 1973 V8 Grabber. He is still very proactive about Mavericks, just has not had time to be on the site with the parts business and restorations. I'm sorry I'm not nearly as witty or entertaining, but I am much prettier :).

Just in time for me. I'm in the process of moving to Baltimore, MD. After I'm settled in though, the Maverick is coming apart for rust repair.
