E7TE heads

    I have a 1977 Maverick that needs a valve job i Would like to know if the E7TZ heads will fit I know that the "E" heads are off an 87 Mustang and I'm ok with that aslong as the fit I"M porting and polishing them

    Yup, direct swap.
    Except for the springs, make sure they're compatible with your camshaft.


    If the mustang had a flat tappet cam you can use them, but if it had a roller cam then swap in the springs from the 77.

    Or better yet order a cam/spring kit, they're dirt cheap.

    And they are damned fine heads, to boot! One of the better flowing heads for the 302/5.0.

    thank you guys I will be off and on about this car I also have an AOD trans. that i'm going to be putting into the Maverick, I have from the fly wheel to the yoke comming out of the trans so I should be covered the trans is out of an 84 vic with throttle body fuel injection i have kickdown linkage and all.

    I bought the 87 as a long block builder for $75. the guy i bought it from really doesnt know a whole lot about the block it was given to him in trade for work and sat in the coner of his shop.
