I’ve had the webbing changed on my seatbelts. When I was going to check out where things go for the install I hit a roadblock. To me it seems the orientation of the buckles, sleeve and latches in the retractors is now backwards. Can anyone help me out? Any pictures to support what things should look like would also be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me if their seatbelts look like mine? In particular the first two photos. Anyone with lap belts for a bench on their 73?

Only thing I see is in the top two pics, looks like they sewed the webbing to the buckle on the wrong side. The female buckle is on the short strap, and the male buckle is on the retracter on mine like that, but when looking at the female buckle from the release button side, you see the stitches on top, and the fold on the bottom. Hope that helps.....

Thanks, with the female buckle (top left) should the attachment bolt be facing like it is when the push button side is up? I think the push button side on the female buckle should be facing up in the picture that is top right.

Your pic is correct. It looks backward until you start to bolt it in the car, then you see that it's right. I actually reversed mine when I first bolted them in, then realized the buckle was upside down. If it bolted to the floor instead of the tunnel, you would have to reverse it to make the buckle face up.

Thanks for the info. I'm still a bit confused how it all goes in without the belt turning 180 degrees. Anyone have a picture of how their seat belts are mounted to the floor on a bench front seat?

Anyone out there with pictures showing how the seatbelt buckles on their front bench are installed?
