Howdy all i've been out of the car scene since I graduated High School almost 20 years ago but i've always loved cars. I'm not a gear head but my friends are and I've always envied them still having cars and me not having one. I've never been a Ford, Chevy, Mopar snob I appreciate them all. I've had some good cars in the past 68 Tempest, 73 Cougar, 70 Mustang, but I've always seemed to rotate and want something different and of course now I regret not still having something so I decided to look for one of the limited selection of nice cars from the year I was born 73. I didn't set out to buy a Maverick I haven't even seen or ever heard of anyone with one and that's part of the reason when I came across the mav I could see it's potential to be different. I see Nova's and Chevelle's all over and I like them, but I also like to be different. So now i'm a proud owner of a unmolested, completely stock, unbelievable condition 1973 302 Maverick and hope to learn a lot here.
Welcome to the forum from Northeastern Illinois. Ur in the right place for those who own/intend to own Mav's/Comets. There is a wealth of knowledge here and people unselfish in sharing it. Also, there is the annual MCCI Roundup to be held in Dearborn, MI. this month starting abt the 21st. There's a lot of info here on the RU. U might consider attending if ur schedule allows. U will meet a lot of gud people and learn a lot abt the cars.
Welcome from Oregon! I just recently got into the mavericks as well (although i've had my car available and in my life since i was born) and i love them to death!
