I just saw a 71 Comet 2dr yesterday, it belong to my aunt's neighbor. Anyway they drug it out of the back yard & it is pretty straight. It is faded red, 52 DSO car from LA, Calif. 200 6 cyl, ps, a/c, bench seat. The guy wants $1500 for it, no rust at all. Body is very nice, bumpers perfect(need rechroming), grille & tai lights nice too. All glass decent, no cracks, the little 200 starts & runs good(new carb $300), has fan shrould still. Tires ok, full hub caps & wheel well mldgs in good shape. Interior is missing the whole a/c system from under the dash, yet still has the ol york compressor still mounted, missing radio-belts have been removed-when they installed some crappy new carpet. The rear panels are toast, no rear package tray, no headliner, no pass door panel, driver one very bad. Also, it does need a rear valence panel-I was thinking of asking the guy if he'll take $1,000 for the car, biggest pain would be putting the factory a/c back in-you really need it around here in Phoenix...:juggle:

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Without pics its hard to give a price. But $1,500 sounds really reasonable.

I hear you on the AC, were dying out here in Cali with this heat.

Sounds like a good deal to me if it's all there, as you say. :)
