    Great looking car. I go to your page often. You reference a clearence problem with the breather and the fire wall on your page. What was causing the problem? I am looking at purchasing a 15" oval breather for my 302, should I expect to have the same problem? I have a 670 Holley on top of a Edelbrock Air Gap intake.

    Chris,
    It didn't have anything to do with the carb or intake-IMO.
    The factory position of a V8 in these cars puts the oval air
    cleaner into the firewall.
    I had a guy cut an offcenter square out of the bottom plate,
    turn it around, and weld it back in. Thus I moved the opening
    for the carb back towards the firewall about 2 inches. That put
    more of the breather forward.

    Very nice!!!! :bananaman Congrats on some fine work. Makes me wish I had never gotten rid of my 71 Comet GT. Love the steering wheel and tach, they look at home in that car. Super clean machine. Have fun with it.
