Hello guys, I have a 351 windsor in my maverick. For some reason there is air coming out of the back of the head (not exhaust manifold). Its the hole right below where the valve cover sits (in the back). There is no bolt that goes there or anything, it sounds like an exhaust leak and the only fix i can think of is to cover the hole with silicone, am i missing something here? This just started recently.
Is it the thermactor hole??? Like this: If so you'll need to plug the holes with these: http://www.store.partsdinosaur.com/product1521.html Be sure to check the hole size though, because they might be different.
Yeah, that looks like it. I had no idea about this, it blows air pretty good. Wow, thanks for your help. I'll be going to autozone to get them.
Autozone might charge you an arm and a leg for them, so you can find a bolt that fits. Try a 5/8-11 about 3/4" long.
