i bought an elect. fan someone "ditched". i have the wiring harness and mounting hardware. what i need is " how to wire it up ".it has everything for the air and all. i don't have air so i would like to wire it to work just off the t-stat that goes into the rad.
it looks like it has two " hot" wires and two "grounds".
maybe someone still has the wiring digram that came with their fan...thank you...frank...

Frank I have one of those set ups I will find it I know it has the diagram with it....I know there are two hot wires one hooks up if you have a/c so the fan comes on with the a/c full time and the other one is for the thermostat portion.....that could explain the 2nd ground as well. I would suggest hooking up the a/c portion to a switch that way if the thermostat portion failed you could simply flip a switch.

    robert,
    thanks for the info.(y)
jerry, i think just wiring the two fan wires to a switch would work.you could put a lighted switch so you would know if it is on/off. in my case i think i will wire the ac wires to a lighted switch.that way if my probe goes bad or if i just need a little more cooling, i can still have a fan to get home. ( robert, didn't you just say that ?)...frank...

p.s. jerry, make the light a small one. i put a big lighted rocker switch on my 4 wheeler and at night it is like a flashlight in my face.:slap:

    robert,

did you just run the two a/c wires to a switch for on/off. is one wire hot and the other ground, or do they make a loop from the relay? can this switch have a light?...frank...
