Trying to decide where to take the comet. Its strictly a drag car and used for weekend burnouts.

I've got the Edlebrock intake manifold and cam, Holey carb, running straight pipes off the Hooker long tubes, 4.11 gears with spool, shift kit for the C4, and I am just about to pick up some Roush Cast Iron heads from my uncle.

Is there anything else I should do, or should I pull the engine and do a high compression 331 stroker build with more cam. I'd be happy with an 11 second NA car, not a nitrous fan.

if you want to go 11s then you would be best to build a full motor. a high compression 331 is a decent way to go. but if its drag only and your spending the money consider a dart 363. get some quality aluminum heads like the afr 210s. get a cam selected or specialy ground for your car. know the weight of the car before you talk to a cam grinder. consider runing the new motor on e85. its high octane and cheaper than pump gas usually.
also the conveter can really make a difference on your time. if you dont want to step up to a full motor build, i would get a custom conveter made for your car. the conveter company that asks you the most questions should build you the best conveter for your car. edelbrock cams are not very agressive. i would get a solid lifter or solid roller cam.
what model edelbrock intake do you have?

    The performer rpm intake.

Should I just keep my stock motor and run the roush heads, with a more aggressive cam, and high stall, and be happy with 12s?

You will likely run into spark plug to header clearance issues with the Roush heads.

Do you think so? What heads should I go with then?

AFR 185's are what I would go with.

i would go with the afr 185s also. for the best results talk to the cam companys and get a solid lifter or solid roller cam selected specificly for your combo. then talk to the converter company and get the exact right conveter for your combo. also make sure you get the right valve springs on the heads for what cam your using or you will damage all these nice new parts. i would not be suprised that with the heads, cam, and conveter, that you could dip into the 11s. this also depends on you having a good drag suspension and slicks. also strip out all the weight in the car that you can.
