Hi guys & gals , I'm beginning to get the bug and seeking to own a 1971 or 1972 Maverick Grabber coupe. If anyone knows of any for sale, it would be much appreciated. My preference is for a V8 car, in good driveable condition. I'd love one that's been upgraded with a 4 speed, otherwise an auto is fine. A Grabber Blue, Yellow, Orange or Red would be cool. I'm actively looking online and in the classifieds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ross
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm from Melbourne Australia (The land down-under). I've just settled a nasty divorce and need a cool car to cruise in on weekends. I've had Mustangs before, but fell in love with the little Mavericks when I saw an article on one. There were plans to build them here in 1970 (Ford Australia) with a Boss 302 running gear. The proposal by Al Turner and Larry Shinoda was to call them a 'Spoiler' with hot hero colors. I'm not sure why it all got canned, but it would be nice to own one.
