I'm a mustang guy, I have a 67 fastback that I love. However, my uncle had this awesome 74 GRABBER that hadn't been driven since 85 and it's so complete I still can't believe it. It's orange on pearl white, 302 of course with the 3 speed, 2.79 rear 8", orange interior, KC plant, DSO is Omaha, I think the unit number is 104425. Every sticker and emblem is there! Believe it or not, a friend of my uncle's rescued this off a junk truck on it's way to the scrap yard years ago. My uncle's health no longer allows him to move forward with this and my daughter is 11, which in Iowa means I have 3 years until she gets her Drivers Permit (can drive with me in the car). I'm excited to start this project but need a few items, would love any advice: Items I need: Rear quarters - found them all over and in my Kar Krafter's catalog, thoughts on this? Driver's side arm rest - orange car jack orange GRABBER stripe kit for after repaint I may not be a novice when it comes to restoration but not far from it, any thoughts would be appreciated. Also, how do you post photos to this forum, can't seem to figure that out.
Welcome to the forum. The same quarters are offered by many vendors and are all we have to choose from. I am sure someone on here has a jack but the arm rest in orange may be difficult thus you may need to dye one. Phoenix Graphix should be able to supply you wirh stripes.
I don't know a thing about dying vinyl. Do I need to be on the lookout for two light colored arm rests and then find this orange dye at a paint supplier? Any thougths would be appreciated.
