i lost my key a while back and mine had like a tin sticker cover or something cover most of the cap and i pealed mine off to find a slot in the cap were i could wiggle a hair clip in and pick it like that. it was pretty simple once i found that slot be hind that sticker thing......

Is it a factory locking cap? If not, a big slot screwdriver, and a quick wack with a hammer, will get those others off. I've done it a few times, on cars I've bought.

There are a very limited number of keys for gas caps. If you were close I could pick the lock for you in seconds. If you buy a new locking cap, chances are that the key for the new one could be made to work - it might be less expensive to take it to a lock-smith and get a key though.

Check with a good parts store and ask about a master key. When I worked at a local independent parts house they had a master key for the gas caps just for this reason.
